An angry Vine snake
This Vine snake (Ahaetulla nasuta) was photographed at Amboli in western ghats of India. This is the one of the most commonly found diurnal snake in western ghats. A vine like thin and long body provides amazing camouflage to hide from predators and to keep unseen by prey species. This snake got angry when I approached it to take few close up shots. And it showed defence by making S-shaped fold and opening mouth to attack the intruder.
