Fulvous whistling ducks are a species of whistling duck seen across the tropical regions, especially Mexico and South America, West Indies, the sub-Saharan Africa and Indian Subcontinent.
These ducklings(total 9) along with their mother and father were travelling from a paddyfield to another. Father giving directions from the top (whistling) and mother leading the team through the ground. But ,were in between inside a compound wall and couldn’t connect with their father. Cats, crows and kites were threatening the team. Luckily me and my brother saw them and got rid of the threats and took some photos.
By that time their father to came, but didn’t fly away, as the ducklings were too young, may be just hatched and it can’t fly. Though it didn’t allow us too close, we guarded the rest of their journey. And I wish, they knew that we were helping them..
