Got to witness the mating display of one of the mighty and elusive beauty in the forest. The nuthatch generally don’t perch on any branch, they show a behaviour like woodpeckers. They creeps along the bark of a tree and feeds on insects in the bark cavity. I spotted a pair of Indian Nuthatch foraging on a tree. After some time, the female perched right on a perch above me, followed by this dashing ✨ attractive male. Suddenly, the male started dancing on this beautiful perch, hopping and swinging it’s body from one side of perch to another, while giving it’s melodious call. It was an experience of a lifetime!
