Four in One
Baruipur, a wetland in the South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal has been under the spotlight for quite sometime. The showstopper being the Brown Cheeked Rail and Spotted Crake. However, the magic of Baruipur wetlands lie in the beauty that birdwatchers and nature lovers can witness different species foraging together in very close vicinity, like I got the opportunity to photograph 4 different species in a single frame. From the bottom left – Bluethroat, Slaty Breasted Rail, Ruddy Breasted Crake and a White Breasted Waterhen all foraging together within few meters of reach.
