Jump by the Kang Nilda
At over 15000 feet above sea level, almost 3-4 kms away from the last inhabited village and a subsequent 3 hours of trek later, I finally reached the home of one of the worlds most extreme creatures – The Bharal. I had to spend 2-3 hours at a safe distance for them to get comfortable with my presence.
This photograph shows an enthusiastic Bharal who decided to show off the magic of his hoofs. The snow clad mountain at the back is the Western face of Chau Chau Kang Nilda Peak – II.
