Lion Tailed Macaque

LTMs are endemic to Westren Ghats and are listed as ‘Endangered’ species as per IUCN. In India, they are called singalika or “lion-like.”

Due to the rapidly changing dynamics of the habitat and occupation of forests by humans, more often than not, these endangered species often eat the left overs and trash from the human house holds including feeding off the plastic.
