Liparis nervosa (Thunb.) Lindl. (Veined Liparis)
Liparis nervosa is terrestrial orchid grows under forest canopy. It has a cylindric, tapering, 4-5 pseudobulb. The plant has lanceshaped to oblong-elliptic, pointed plicate leaves. The plant blooms in the late summer after few showers.It produce 10-40 flowers on raceme inflorescence. Petals are sickle-shaped, linear-oblanceshaped to narrowly spoon-shaped. Anthers are bright green; pollinia yellow. This orchid is probably the most widespread orchid in the world being pan-tropical.
