Man Vs wild
Every winter thousands of lesser flamingos migrate to Mumbai, the financial capital of India. The rapidly expanding city has meant that there is now little and little space for the birds. The birds take refuge in the last remaining wetland spaces which often are adjacent now to human habitats. In this picture, Flamingos are seen resting and feeding in a Navi Mumbai wetland lake during hightide. I have tried to show the reflection of the adjacent high-rise to highlight the conflict of space between man and wild. Shot in December 2018.
