This nocturnal net casting spider (Deinopidae), spotted in the pristine forests of Agumbe, hunts at night, weaving a compact web that is thrown on to a prey like a fishing net. This frame shows an almost spherical egg sac being rolled and covered with strands of spider silk, later out of which hatch out hundreds of spiderlings.
