This was my first time to the land of mowgli, Pench. Like everyone who comes here wants to see the super mom, I also wanted to see this legendary tigress who goes by many names like Collarwali, Mataram, etc. Having seen “Tiger: Spy in the Jungle” series, I was fascinated to see her. It took us almost 2 days to track her. Based on ther movements from last drives, we waited at a place from where our experienced guide and driver predicted her arrival. After an hour or so, we heard her roar from inside which gave us a sign of her presence. When the sun was bidding adieu for the day, she emerged like a Queen in the last light which was about to be transformed into darkness. The entire 2.5 hours wait was totally worth and when I saw her, I couldn’t believe how magnificent she is which made me realize why people talk about her and want to see her when they are at this beautiful Jungle.
