State of rural India forest reserves
Education is paramount in understanding many facets of life and life around us. In the picture is an Indian Thick-Knee (aka Indian stone-curlew). A picture taken in a rural forest reserve area in Ballari district, Karnataka.
While us, humans, take a blind eye to the habitat, landscape and property around us, many living species like the thick-knee are often forced to move away from these reserves.
I was very surprised to see this bird in the reserve forest, in fact, a pair of Indian thick-knees, and this picture tells us a harsh state of human-nature-wildlife, especially in rural areas.
