Critically endangered species Gangetic Dolphin lives in one of the most densely populated regions of the world. One of the main threats to the species is loss of habitat due in large part to the creation of dams and irrigation projects. But lives still exist even after these major habitat loss and fragmentation. My project is based upon those remaining living creatures in Ganges in West Bengal region between Farakka and Ganga Sagar. This shot was taken from boat during my survey near Katwa between Burdwan and Nadia district. Image reflects how surprisingly Gangetic Dolphin surviving and co existing with human against all odds, against many threats into the river based civilization of Hoogly River.
