There is this beautiful balance in every ecosystem that there is. As I sat by the Lake, hoping to observe the turtle population, I was presented with this unique opportunity. The jacana pulls at the aquatic plants in search of food while the turtle basks in the Sun.
Interestingly, each of their instinctive actions carries a lot of ecological importance in maintaining proper blooming of aquatic plant species which form a major part of their diet.
This foraging for food in turn helps the trees disperse their seeds and turtles often carry a lot on their shells.
As the denizens just do what their instincts tell, they maintain the balance of an intricately complex system.
