The Himalayan bulbul or white-cheeked bulbul.
A birdwatcher rarely praise bulbuls with a second glance. But when we head up to hills, the Himalayan bulbul is a joy to us. For it means we are in hills, and there’s a bounty of birdlife waiting to be discovered. Luckily I had a long and fulfilling encounter with Himalayan bulbul in Naddi village, near Dharamsala, where I stayed during my trip to Triund. The way she flaunted her wings, I was mesmerized, it’s like she was posing for the camera.
