The Mystery Fox
Winding up our camera gears we boarded our dedicated vehicle to start our journey back to Chicham village. Sun was down and the golden light of dusk was kissing the gigantic peaks of the Himalayas. Suddenly our spotter called “Red Fox Sir…”. Looked outside the window and it was in a close range. Time to unzip the camera bag again and bring out my equipment, in a hurry left the TC attached. As soon as the vehicle stopped jumped into the snow to position myself before the mysterious mammal could flee, and then I realised my legs were under 2-3 feet of snow. However I was able to make some decent silhouette images of this beautiful Red Fox. In the next 30 mins we came across 2 more foxes in close vicinity and got our share of time to make good images. It was a great way to mark the end of the first day of sighting.
